Dana Donley Morton assumes ownership of consumer insights company, Category One

Lafayette, Colorado (January 14, 2021) — Category One founder, Lou Patterson and new owner, Dana Donley Morton, announced today that Morton has taken over the day to day responsibilities of the company allowing Lou to pursue even more time outdoors and traveling with his wife.  Patterson founded Category One in 2007 when Radar Communications, a nationally recognized supplier of ethnographic research, was sold to Crispin Porter + Bogusky.  Patterson was part of the Radar leadership team and has since continued to develop and refine Radar methodologies to offer the best in consumer insights to past and current clients as Category One.

 Morton worked with and for Patterson for over fifteen years learning the ins and outs of running a world-class market research business.  As a research moderator and strategist, Morton is known for her unique ability to approach each qualitative interaction with empathy, curiosity and authenticity allowing for insightful and actionable insights to both meet and exceed the research objectives.  

 Rooted in Boulder County, Category One has served brands globally across many industries.  Currently they specialize in the natural products, outdoor, active living and healthcare industries.
